Caution Tape

Heidi and Rachel have been working on the floor and stairs this week. The floor is mostly original and has not been finished in the store.

I keep getting texts at work that say “Would you bring me more 50 grit sandpaper and razor blades?” Heidi is using Varathane clear floor finish since that is what was used in the back area and upstairs.Sample areas show that it will look good.

Now that the floor is almost ready to finish (Heidi is waiting until after this weekend so I won’t be around as much to mess something up) they are focusing on the stairs.

This is the result of their work.

I brought home a roll of caution tape for Heidi to use for my own protection. I already stepped on a test spot and don’t want to do that again.

Today my tasks are to replace two window panes with bullet holes in them and do some sanding. I think I have the easy jobs this weekend.

I’ve read a lot about the gorgeous staircase. For me these are the first pictures that really capture that beauty.
